Dr. Michael Banas was born and raised in Wilkes-Barre, PA. He graduated from the University of Scranton as a three time Academic All-American. He attended Medical School at the University of Pennsylvania. Dr. Banas then completed an orthopedic residency at the University of Rochester’s Strong Memorial Hospital. His orthopedic training was completed with a sports medicine fellowship at the Southern California Orthopedic Institute. Throughout his training he provided medical care to numerous athletic teams throughout the New York and Los Angeles area. His orthopedic interests include sports medicine and reconstructive surgery of the knee and shoulder. He also performs joint replacement surgery. Dr. Banas is Board Certified by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery.
